Light tackle sport fishing or light tackle reef fishing is very popular in the Florida Keys and Key West. With offering room up to 6 people, it is a more hands on approach to fishing in deeper water. Most of the boats prefer 4 people total, but some can accommodate 6. Fishing on the reefs can be very exciting while catching a variety of species, which a lot of the times are edible. Sometimes if the weather is nice, light tackle boats can shoot out into deeper water to go after some pelagic species. Most light tackle boats are center consoles that are between 26 and 36 feet.
